Hi,
I've noticed that in some situations, the default value of my parameter is
showing even when a value has been supplied and no line character limits
are being broken.
After some experimentation, I've seen that it relates to the actual width
of the headline, rather than the number of characters.
So for example when my ad headline was "Abcdefg WWWW1234567 {param1:Cheap}"
and the price parameter was "£2349" then the ad displayed the default value
"Cheap", but if I change it to "Abcdefg ABCD1234567 {param1:Cheap}" then
the supplied parameter value "£2349" was shown.
I guess my question is - is this deliberate? I have not seen anything in
the docs that says this is the case, everything seems to talk about
character limits not the "real" length of the headline. This seems to make
the job of generating ads that will display correctly much more complicated.
Thanks,
Ryan
