I guess I judge art from my present perspective,not how others might
have thought then. That particular painted figure is not unique in any
way to me..... while Koon's painted sculpture has uniqueness, fun.
Something like what we valued when I use to model toys and doll for
the toy industry. I really don't value what he does other than the
joy he seems to project to me.

Perhaps the Koons piece does not have any "class". Yet Koons may suggest that the notion of "class" (even without getting maxist) is a way to interpret art, but should not be a necessary condition. Koons seems to approach his subjects non-judgmentally and without irony.
