I favor legislation that contributes to social well-being. If that involves government funding and patient-doctor support for talk therapy, drug therapy, or some other professionally validated remedy, I am for it.
My view is that all essential health care should be free, all education through undergraduate college or equivalent free, all people are entitled to basic support and protections. No exceptions. No capital punishment in bits and pieces for the underclass or unlucky or for criminals. I also believe that all health and support providers should be properly well compensated according to the standards of their professions and that some elitist services can still be bought separately. WC > Your logic would suggest that the theory of evolution > should (or could) > guide legislation that goverments might pass regarding > social support > funding.
