They are utterly conventional in our time: * "that paean to visual space" * "subtle interplay of the symmetry relations" * " evocation of space and atmosphere in the picture is superb * "haze that mutes the lights as they recede into the distance is lapidary" ... most of it you probably read elsewhere -- and why shouldn't you? As you well know, the job of an art expert is not to have opinions, but to report accurately on the acceptable opinions of others.
