Berg's genius is not manifested in the writing of books or creating art,
but I have more than once been truly impressed with the range and tenacity of
his "hunting". I know I could not match it. I'm dismayed by the apparent
limitations to his intellect, but I've occasionally felt that dismay about
every single lister who's ever posted on this forum -- including, very often,
myself.

Again, this is not to say I see no grounds for your complaint. I also
admire your energy and responsiveness, and I need to accept that it comes with
--
and, indeed, to some extent depends on -- what you and I know is your
lively irritability. It's a nuisance to have to restrain one's responsiveness,
but we all have to sometimes, and I urge you simply to ignore his postings. I
don't open every one myself (I also admit there are a few too many). But I
have to concede the guy is an ardent and voluminous reader, and I find I'm
glad to know such folk are out there, hunting.
