let us not confuse the general (the abstract) and the specific (subjective
or particular)
In the abstract we where most likely attempting to reference the same body
of knowledge and concept, in the particular each models that knowledge in
accord with their experience and expectations - it is the latter we
seemingly negotiate - while the former stands as a general referent with
little content, but many resources
