following information:

I don't know your budget, but one option is an inverter/charger like used
in the solar industry.   And like I just linked to, although I just
realized I picked a 12V one instead of a 48V one.   They have 48V versions
as well, but for some reason can't find a 3000 watt one, just a 2000 and a
10000 one.   Aims seems to be pretty well respected, although please do
your research before you chose this brand on my recommendation - I don't
have enough first hand experience to be sure of this particular
recommendation.

Many of the solar vendors which do charge controllers also do
inverter/chargers which include both the charging and inverter function in
one box.  They're designed to run from shore/generator power in RV and
off-grid applications, so the inverter is going to be pretty much designed
for continous duty.   Some are way expensive, some are less so.

If you want a real ups instead of an inverter, then I'm not sure where you
send you.
