1) Still wearing the ring 25 years later. I used to take it off working on live electrical panels but that was about it, otherwise worn it the whole time. Don’t worry, the dead flesh under the ring eventually sloughs off and it gets more comfortable. 2) You should be able to turn everything off. If the business can’t live without you for a couple of days there is something wrong.
