Define "vertically". Do you mean it needs to come out of the top of the enclosure?
Also, do you just want a passive vent, or forced air (fan)? Automation Direct sells some hooded fans and vents that can run on 24VDC but they are quite expensive and protrude farther into the enclosure than I like. https://www.automationdirect.com/adc/Shopping/Catalog/Enclosures_-z-_Subpane ls_-z-_Thermal_Management_-z-_Lighting/Enclosure_Thermal_Management/Filter_F ans/018210-04 Hoffman also makes fans and vents for outdoor enclosures. Maybe make something out of Schedule 40 PVC pipe and other stuff from a home store? Have the open end point down and stuff some fiberglass filter material in to keep the bugs out? -----Original Message----- From: AF <[email protected]> On Behalf Of Jon Langeler Sent: Sunday, September 23, 2018 11:22 AM To: [email protected] Subject: [AFMUG] Enclosure cooling? Anyone have recommendations on fan system components that can be mounted vertically on an existing enclosure? Specifically louvred or screened rain proof vents?
