I have not bought a PC for years, as in me personally. I just tell others I
need something and it appears. So not really sure. A mini PC would work fine.
 12 VDC would be great.

I don't recommend getting an all-in-one PC-monitor as you have limited monitor
size options, and if anything breaks inside, you're extremely limited in what
you can use to fix it.

I recommend just getting a mini-PC and hiding it behind the monitor. Some can
even run on 12V (may want to put power regulation in the power path depending
on how stable the source is). From where do you usually buy PCs?

Instead of googling it I will just ask the Borg: Looking for a monitor,
perhaps 14-18” with a PC built in. Like to use a USB mouse and keyboard. Wifi
built in. No, I don’t want to cobble one together with a Raspberry PI etc.

It is for permanent mounting in my splicing trailer so we always have access
to the internet when out and about. Just make the techs run on their phone
hotspots if they want to look up something with a decent sized screen. If they
start streaming movies, well it is their data plan, not mine...
