Well, the stinger had a nice long ride. Hundreds of thousands of them

My guys in the field have complained and complained about the new
design. But they do like the fact that inventory parts lists can be
reduced with the new SM style. No dishes, no stingers (sorry Chuck),
no license keys. We take the good with the bad on this.

Does everyone hate the 450b high gain cover with the cable gland
as much as we do? Not sure why they felt the need to do this on
the high gain but not the mid gain.
I wish somebody (Chuck?) would sell an aftermarket conversion kit
to make it like the mid gain or the original Canopy SM. With a
snap on cover, water kept out by gravity, and readily accessible
alignment tool port.
There are other mechanical things I hate about the product, like
the screw in the back that you have to tighten ever so gingerly,
and the 4 threaded inserts that seem to have manufacturing quality
issues like getting covered over with plastic. Or the occasional
feedtube that doesn't quite want to latch into place. Or how much
work it is to convert them to mount on the left side of the pole.
But the stupid cover with the cable gland is an annoyance every
single time.
