Reminds me of a contractor I saw on the street of a small town in Oregon where
I was the local telephone guy.

(this is a 40 year old story)

I told him he needs to pay his bill or I am going to have to disconnect. I
thought he was going to beat me to death right on the street. His line had
been disconnected for weeks. He was losing all his business etc etc etc.

Once he calmed down I told him that he had not been disconnected at all. “well
the phone sure as hell doesn’t work.

OK, then call in a trouble ticket when your phone doesn’t work, don’t presume
you were disconnected for non pay.

Got down there. It was a Code-a-phone answering machine made by Ford
industries. This was back in the day when the telco owned the phone. He had
spilled a beer into it. That is why it didn’t work. I cleaned it out and
fixed it and he paid part of his bill.

If it had been beer rather than Gatorade, you could have fixed it.

Rack Injector?

We had a 48v mean well doa, well doa when we first powered it on, a jug of
Gatorade leaked into it and a syncinjector first. Syncinjector was fine

All I can say is that I have never had a Meanwell product die that had not

Last night I replaced yet another Amazon special 29.5V power supply that was
feeding out packetflux equipment. These are defiantly a weak link and something
I need to pull out of the field and replace.

I spent some time today digging into the MeanWell product line and came up
with two options to power our original Packetflux sites along with the ones now
running the rack injectors.

I need but 28V DC and 48V DC at sites feed from 120VAC

I am considering going with the Mean Well NDR 120-24 and Mean Well NDR 120-48
units. Does anyone have experience with these good or bad? Just looking for
something that more stable and reliable at this point.

  Thanks,

  Brandon
