So once you are paying rent to be on their poles, are they required to keep them well maintained? Or just replace them if they fall down? I see a lot of rural utility poles in terrible condition, they don't have fiber on them though, since it's fairly easy to bury the fiber in most areas here. I have commented on occasion "the poles are supposed to support the wires, not the other way around". I've also had farmers tell me (unverified) that the utility companies won't fix poles until they are knocked down by a storm because then they get some sort of subsidy to replace them.

I find it frustrating that power companies use a pole attachment request as a vehicle in getting their crappy poles changed out for free. -----Original Message----- From: Adam Moffett Sent: Tuesday, May 21, 2019 1:37 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [AFMUG] Calendar Invite If you like to discuss pole loading analysis and National Grid attachment applications then it's a really fun time. I sent 5 calendar invites to a DPS bureaucrat that morning, I'm not sure what I did differently on the TRC one, but apparently that one went to everybody in my address book. -Adam On 5/21/2019 3:27 PM, [email protected] wrote: > Man, I was looking forward to it! > > -----Original Message----- From: Adam Moffett Sent: Tuesday, May 21, > 2019 > 1:04 PM To: AnimalFarm Microwave Users Group Subject: [AFMUG] Calendar > Invite I apologize for the Calendar invite that went to the list. > Please don't join my call with TRC solutions. > > -Adam > > -- AF mailing list [email protected] http://af.afmug.com/mailman/listinfo/af_af.afmug.com -- AF mailing list [email protected] http://af.afmug.com/mailman/listinfo/af_af.afmug.com -- AF mailing list [email protected] http://af.afmug.com/mailman/listinfo/af_af.afmug.com
