My wife uses a TENS as well almost nightly for shoulder and neck problems.  She 
swears by it.  I personally have used it a few times for lower back pain but I 
cant stand the sensation if it is turned up too much.  She has a much higher 
tolerance for it than I do so I cant let her set it or it feels like she turns 
loose a hornets nest on my back.
