I have set at about 50%. Almost feels like getting into 120 AC without the
pain. I think it said it is 80 Hz and 70 volts.

My wife uses a TENS as well almost nightly for shoulder and neck problems.
She swears by it. I personally have used it a few times for lower back pain
but I cant stand the sensation if it is turned up too much. She has a much
higher tolerance for it than I do so I cant let her set it or it feels like
she turns loose a hornets nest on my back.

Wearing TENS now. Odd sensation. How long before I will know if it is
helping?

You should probably be able to pick one up from a drug store. Mine came
from Walgreens I think.

It might help. I know if I press my left thumb at the upper portion of
my pelvis in just the right spot, I can kill most of the pain when
walking. So nerve stuff helps and TENS does work on nerves. I guess my
wife will get to enjoy her favorite drug of choice, Intra Visa injections
of Amazon.

A TENS unit helps me. I'm not sure if it's making the pain go away or
if I'm just distracted from it by being electrocuted.

Once or twice a year, I sit down wrong, or sneeze or just reach for
something and my back will put me on the floor. Days of almost not being
able to walk, yelling in pain to just roll over in bed.
Some years I take an IM torodol injection (or whatever its generic is
called nowadays). Or I just take huge does of Tylenol and Motrin. I
have tried the ice packs, hot baths, elastic belts etc. Nothing but
massive doses of NSAIDs seem to work and they take time.
Have not had an MRI but the interwebs seem to think this is a very
common thing and that I am doing what most do.
Not sure if they sell MJ out in Wendover Nevada yet, but I am only 99
miles away. At least today I can walk.
Anyone have any secret therapy's for this?
