I would add that the 2/0 or larger that is bonded to the hubs of hell provides the best path for the lightning, so it will “mostly” follow this path, but the current division law says some current will still flow on all possible paths. However if you work out the math, very little will flow on your important stuff in comparison to the big ground wire. Still may be enough to blow things during a direct strike however. In my experience, when you get a direct strike you lose everything.
