There’s a thread on the Cambium forums about this. Forrest posted there as well. I don’t see anything additional over what’s been posted here, other than some misinformation about a satellite problem to be fixed in 2 hours.
Interesting that the GLONASS outage 5 years ago also started at 21:00 UTC, when an engineer uploaded bad firmware to the satellites. Probably just a coincidence. This is to permit reboots of the control interface without affecting connected device at all. This includes *most* firmware upgrades. So for the later boards, you'll need to reset it on the GPS status page.
