The 2k AP was regularly going to 100% frame utilization. The 3K AP is
running about 50% and spiking to 80%. (via 5 minute reads with MRTG)

Cambium has been saying for a while that you should see at least a 10%
improvement in throughput and lower latency going from 1/2k to 3k gear
even with Force 200 and elevate clients.

Based on my swap, that's simply wrong.
I think we can all agree to expect much more improvement with 300
SM, though.

Was I misinformed? I was told that replacing ePMP 2000 APs
with ePMP 3000 APs would have zero effect on capacity without
changing out SMs to ePMP 3000 series SMs. Is that wrong?

We did a 1000 to 3000L swap on Tuesday morning. Noticing the
same thing - more capacity and much less frame utilization.
I think there were 36 SM - mostly force 200 but some
elevate/300-25.

We replaced an EPMP2k AP with an EPMP3k AP yesterday.
Both had BSA
attached, Same RF Channel. Mix of EPMP 1000/200/300 SMs
EPMP1000/200 SMs did not have any change, either Signal
or Modulation.
EPMP300 SMs had a signal increase of 3-4db and noticeable
increase in
modulation on upstream, and a slight increase in downstream.
Biggest difference is BW through the AP is up about 25%
today, and Frame
utilization is 50% less than the EPMP2k AP. Watching the
BW chart in
the AP, I don't see MU-MIMO being activated at all.
