So I'm a fan of billing systems doing billing and not a lot else. There needs to be ways to script some provisioning... mainly lock and unlock and some way to make sure a customer is getting only what they're paying for.
If you're looking for a system that does that... bills customers reliably, then I'd have to recommend billmax. - Forrest On Thu, Apr 17, 2025, 12:07 PM Ken Hohhof <[email protected]> wrote: > What constitutes a good billing solution depends on what you are billing > for (goods, services), what else you want it to do, and what other systems > it should integrate with. > > > > If you are just billing people for microtrenching saws, that’s very > different than if you are billing for recurring Internet service. > > > > As an ISP, we usually want to give customers a (secure) online payment > portal where they can view their account status and pay their bills, change > their credit card on file, etc. We also usually want it to integrate with > our operations systems so people get notified if they are past due, get > automatically turned off after a grace period, and can pay online and get > automatically turned back on.
