Why would they do that?
Isn’t the difference in the way they handle leap years, where Julian just does a leap year every 4 years, while Gregorian has special rules every 100 years and every 400 years to better track the solar year? I don’t understand why anyone would be stuck in the year 1582. They like Julius Caesar better than Pope Gregory? Is it an Eastern Orthodox thing? That's strange. The Ohio OUPS system bases ticket numbers on the Julian date. Today's tickets are A5246 (2025, day 246). I feel like there are lot of systems that use that date...
