Good question, I can only guess.
A locate ticket is typically 2 business days out before the work date. If
you're looking at the date you can do a sed -n -E 's/^..(.{3}).*/\1/p' and
then you add two for the due date.
If you know the ticket number you know the ticket day it was generated.
Looking through all of our history I can figure out the date of it without
4+2+2 characters - I only need 1+3 now.
