Still using Traco TSP-BCM48 and "Battery OK" contact to SiteMonitor.
I would not particularly recommend the BCMU except for special cases. I have one DC site with an Eltek Micropack which has web management as well as N+1 rectifier redundancy, it's been fine but it's overkill. When you say rectifier, that conjures up mental images of something charging telco CO batteries. Oh, and I echo what Chuck said, I don't think I've ever had a Traco or Mean Well device fail. I've used some Phoenix Contact in the past, no reason to pay the premium price for German stuff. Since it's been a few years, I wonder how the market has changed. I see the Traco TSP-600 is still around, and I had no real complaints with that one. I was thinking about those types of systems for powering 8-port remote OLT's. Are there models you guys use or recommend? -Adam
