I agree with Kurt. EPMP and ubnt have a place and work ok but I've been doing
this for 12 years and the only equipment that works for voip, vpn, gaming,
reliability, and just dam works is cambium 100 to 450. And as for mimosa and
AC hardware, i hope they have a great product but unless it can do what 450 can
do for reliable links it has no place in my network. Every ubnt wisp that has
popped up in my service area has either quit or pulled out of my area.

Subject: Re: [AFMUG] PMP 450 AP Lite - Now Available!

Matt,

That pricing lines up with what I was told by Cambium at the shows. I am going
to assume that since its MSRP that WISPS can buy at 80% of that price level so
then we are looking at $1160.00 for the lite AP and then the upgrade key so
that is right there with what a full-AP would have cost so really no price
disadvantage to start out with the lite-AP.

This is wonderfull news! I am planning on ripping out a bunch of EPMP and
putting 450 in its place.

So the only difference is the SU count? If so, that's quite
refreshing. Well, let's see the price first.
