I've not been nailed too badly yet, but I've seen some crazy stuff pop up on peoples screens as they were loading up presentations. My favorite are emails with pop up notifications in outlook where you can glance the first few lines, seen some juicy stuff. I make it a practice to shut down all email, IM, etc before going live.
