5GHz was great in my area until Vivint came in. I've had to add twice as many 
pops and completely re-engineer my existing ones. And I've had to recommend to 
every single customer to keep their home wifi on 2.4, which most of them hate 
because it's so much slower. I'm making a video that explains the home wifi 
frequencies and why everything is so slow now without blaming any specific 
provider. I plan to post it on YouTube for any WISP to use. It won't be branded 
to mine.
