I remember asking some electric company workers about wearing long sleeve shirts on a very hot day, apparently they are required to wear fireproof long sleeve shirts in case of sparks. Yes, they are hot.

Cotton T-shirt and long sleeve shirt. Bandana around neck and under hard hat.
