Possibly. Dishes have one really sharp focal point. Panels just need to get as much of the area in phase as possible. You can move them off boresight and actually get more signal in a multipath situation than a reflector can.

I upgraded a customer to 2.4 ePMP last week that was about .6 miles from the tower. The signal with just an integrated SM was -67 so I decided to use one of Chuck's dishes for ePMP but only got an extra 2 to 3 db improvement. The last time (only time) I used the dish I got 8 to 10 db improvement but was about 2 miles from the tower. Is that too close to the tower for a dish or is that just the nature of wireless?
