If it is a epmp, the dish tilts forward more than you would expect. Probably a vertical sidelobe.
10dB is only added if the main lobe is properly aligned on boresight to the other end. All other directions it has less gain on the boresight. I upgraded a customer to 2.4 ePMP last week that was about .6 miles from the tower. The signal with just an integrated SM was -67 so I decided to use one of Chuck's dishes for ePMP but only got an extra 2 to 3 db improvement. The last time (only time) I used the dish I got 8 to 10 db improvement but was about 2 miles from the tower. Is that too close to the tower for a dish or is that just the nature of wireless?
