Mine have an 8 inch upper which thick and insulated....most snake strikes
are near ankle or below for ones around here... Not sure what you run into
in Austin Roundrock areas....here mostly rattlers ....
Any suggestions for boots that come little higher up, some protection from
not seen snakes?

For years I have worn Caterpillar or Wolverine boots.  Today my wife got me
a pair of Chinook Tarantulas ...let's see how they feel after a few days...
Right know they are comfortable but stiff.  My get some Dr Scholls inserts
later... My feet have been aching so hope these help.   Has anyone had any
of these before?
