We're getting quoted $4-5/ft.  I agree, hard to make those numbers work
when you own the machines.  We're actually going to do a project contracted
out at $4/ft...let you know how it goes.  I think our per customer costs
are going to definitely be less than $1,000/customer (more in the $700
range), especially with PON because we are passing hundreds of homes.  Most
homes have about 90' of road frontage, so our bore cost should be <$400 for
the mainline in front of the house, and $60 for the drop per customer.
