No, not optimal... it could slightly ruin a day.

We're on one where the owner has the chimney on his outdoor wood boiler
tied into the bottom, and hatch open up top (so it's basically serving as a
90' chimney)... that also isn't optimal - unless you like smelling like a
smoked sausage after working on it.
