A friend of mine callled yesterday and asked me about extending a T-1 link from Smart jack to new location. He is wondering if he can use the existing copper and jump the 4 wires and finish of with 40 ft of Cat5 to new location. If I remember correctly he should end up with 1 volt and run should not exceed 6000 ft. refresh my memory you oracles of DS-1s
