Nope, just cost.

Does anyone use the UGPS? Is it the cost that turns people off, or something else?

There's no internal gps, so you have to use an external sync source. Both timing port and power port options are available, but they changed the timing port enough that only certain sync sources will work. The only two I'm aware of for certain are the newest revision syncbox 12 and the cambium ugps. There are a couple others on the roadmap here but they're going to be a month or two out.

What are the options? No timing port? (haven’t looked at them yet)

Just be aware there are very limited options for getting sync into
a 450i if you don't use sync over the power port.

the 450 is the "old canopy" standard.

Is it possible to get a device not specifically designed for a POE
+ injector to work off that? I have tried a device (namely a
320AP with the pin 4 and 8 swapped to provide the proper + - on
4, 5 and +- on 7,8) and the POE device (actually an edgepoint S16)
doesn’t seem to react to it. I know the cable is good (tested
using another method). When you pick POE+ within the Edgepoint,
no indicator lights come on on the Edgepoint (unlike any the other
POE settings which have indicator lights active to show the
    appropriate power activation).

Hoping to make this work somehow
