The 450i software has a known bug where the serial port receive data is quite flaky. Cambium is aware of the issue and is working on fixing it.
I'm on the road so I can't verify your cable is correct, although I will say that it matches my memory of where the pins are (I'm sure about 1 and 6 going to 8 and 7, the serial data pins seem to match (it's definitely 3 on the RJ12, and I know the cable is in approximately the correct spot on the RJ45). FYI, we'll be showing a 4 Port SyncBox Jr at WISPAPALOOZA which has RJ45's and will be powered from the 450i aux port directly, just like a ugps, but without the awkward custom cable. -forrest On Thu, Sep 29, 2016 at 8:14 PM, George Skorup <[email protected]> wrote: > So I've got a 450i AP running 14.1.2 and one of the new SyncBox Junior's. > I wired a patch cable like Matt posted here: > http://community.cambiumnetworks.com/t5/PMP-FAQ/Cable- > Diagram-for-450i-to-UGPS/m-p/53541 > > I get sync on the timing port, but no data.
