Sports are definately a major challenge in some markets (well most)

I think the whole future of IPTV will transition from multicast style delivery 
to typical set top boxes into apps as someone already mentioned.  Basically, 
your existing devices in the house (PS4, Xbox One, Computer, Tablet, Phone) 
will become your “TV hub” via unicast delivery.  This will cut down on a dozen 
different boxes in your home and “unify” your media streaming, OTT providers 
(i.e. netflix, youtube), and your linear programming content (TV).

Significant challenges in doing this but it’s here now in some markets/services 
and growing … a lot of “regulatory” stuff in the way currently too
