It has nothing to do with LTE at all. 

Long Term Ubiquiti is what I heard, but maybe that's unofficial.

I believe that the specification for LTE-U is not finalized. So since 
they can't spin directly to LTE-U, they just made something up. 

I'm willing to bet that no one from UBNT will chime in to clarify.
