Yeah exactly … it really does help with costs and makes good general sense 
(when everything works – mine has always worked great)

My hot water tank for example takes about 20-24 minutes to go from cold to 
quite hot … that’s one heating cycle and good to go – during the day, when 
running without management it kicks in about every hour for about 5 minutes to 
keep things hot … works great if you have a predictable daily and weekend cycle 
for hot water usage – would take a guess it saves me $40/month
