I've got a pretty new phone (Nexus 6P) running 7.0 Nougat, and am on 
Verizon. It should be updated to 7.1.1 by the end of the month. Where do 
you turn this on?

BTW - if we have an internet connection (WiFi or cellular), calling on 
WhatsApp works pretty darn good too.
