Thanks, that explains a lot.  So the controller exists.  And it can go
side-by-side with an injector.

 

And that’s quite a honkin’ heat sink.  So it’s more than 1U high.  Do you
think it generates regulated 56V (or 29.5V for the other version) from 48V
in?  If not, why the big heat sink?  To be able to power 450m?

�they are a bit pricey but no more than a CTM2 fully loaded. 
The difference is support for the 450m and other 450i devices as well as its
modular 
some site may not need more than 4 control points some of mine require 12 or
more
but those are sitting on cmm4s with only hopes of ever reaching 100Mb port
speed.
I will be able to add to this design without buying a whole ctm2 or cmm4
just one module at a
time. So, there is some money saved by this design for new deployments.
The cambium gige Surge or lpu� depending on which radio I am using will
get an external protection near the 
radio. Depending on cable runs we will add one near the entry ports.
