Yes, the silk screen was marked out with a sharpie for a
short run of that rev due to my mistake. The label on the
back should be accurate. I fixed it on the run of PCBS
immediately following this. Sorry.

Subject: [AFMUG] GIGE-POE-APC Questions
Chuck
(or all),
I've got a question on the GIGE-POE-APC (the concept of
which, I love). I've got two pictures attached,
appropriately labeled, of the jumper configurations. But,
I'm confused. When I look at the drawing on the back, it
says jumper to the left for positive and to the right for
negative. Indeed, when I use an ohm meter, the left pin is 0
ohms to the positive lead on the phoenix connector and
likewise, the right pin is 0 ohms to the neg on the phoenix
connector.
But, when I plug in a UBNT with the jumpers configured so
4/5 is pos and 7/8 is neg (as in the "didn't work..."
image), my power supply goes into short circuit protection
briefly and the GIGE-POE-APC smokes (once it lets the smoke
out, the power supply is normal again). So I have to set the
jumpers so 7/8 is pos and 4/5 is neg (as in the "works with
ubnt" image). But I also see that the 4/5 and 7/8 labels
seemed to be "sharpied" over; is this because those labels
are swapped and the bottom pins are actually 4/5 (which
would make sense)?
Thanks!
