I asked my bro about life insurance in general...he followed up with this: "If he owns his company or owns a some percentage of it, we can even look at the cost of Corporate Owned Life Insurance (COLI), or even creating a Pension Plan where a small proportion of each salary deferral goes into a Life Insurance policy owned by the Pension Plan for his benefit. He might therefore be able to make pre-tax or tax deductible contributions that get him the life insurance coverage he is looking for. The tax savings give him basically another 25%-50% discount on the cost of annual premiums. "
