Procera has some tricks in dealing with DDOS too. I had one of their engineers send me over some ideas a while back. I have never needed to use it however. But the one good thing about it was that if something happens you'll see where the target of the DDOS is going pretty fast. At times it is difficult to find when your routers are overloaded.
