It works for me as long as my wife does not tempt me with forbidden fruits.
I am down about 30 lbs and want to go 10 more. Like you say, avoid grains and
sugars.
After the initial break in period, it really is not difficult.

Hey Chuck,

Long time "lurker" here on the list.

I've been doing something similar for almost 2 years. Lost 40lbs and feel
great. Doesn't feel like a diet. It's no sugar no grain. Got the
inspiration from this guy:

His cohort has a great cook book:

Anna has some great recipes in there, and her pizza crust is awesome.

Since the end of May, I have been on a zero sugar ultra low carb diet. I
reversed a severe diabetic situation with my A1C over 11 down to mid 5 range.
It will most likely be a permanent life style change.

Today my wife made a low carb pizza. The crust was made out of cheese and
eggs. Amazingly good. To date I have been scraping the top off of pizzas and
discarding the crusts. Now I can eat the whole thing.

If anyone is on low carb or contemplating low carb they ought to look up this
solution. This afternoon we are experimenting with adding baking powder to see
if we can leaven it a bit.
