Mastic or big stretch. silicone is garbage, you cant pull it an put anything else in its place, once it sets it doesnt change, it rots houses. Use mastic, stays workable, sticks to most everything, you can reuse it, I hate silicone. its banned in my house too. If mastic doesnt fit the bill, big stretch or a butyl caulk is the only way to go. But mastic almost always fits the bill. real mastic, not that garbage Sticky Tape brand chewing gum either
