I agree on the Mastic being superior on roofs under antenna feet. Mastic under
vinyl tape is also very reliable.
Have never seen that big stretch product. Sounds ideal for wall penetrations.
But can you chew it?

Mastic or big stretch. silicone is garbage, you cant pull it an put anything
else in its place, once it sets it doesnt change, it rots houses. Use mastic,
stays workable, sticks to most everything, you can reuse it, I hate silicone.
its banned in my house too.
If mastic doesnt fit the bill, big stretch or a butyl caulk is the only way to
go. But mastic almost always fits the bill. real mastic, not that garbage
Sticky Tape brand chewing gum either

If you have a lag pull for whatever reason and you have a mount rocking mastick
moves with it, maintaining the seal. set silicone will open up or pull out and
let the water leak in

http://www.sashco.com/products/big-stretch/ if you do roof repairs, have this
in your kit btw. This is great for cold repairs, it adheres to the shingles wet
or cold

yep, the force 200 was mounted to one of those little light aluminum j
arms for the fsk, and the force 190 they overtightened the hose clamp and it
failed. Im coming across flapping cable, cable down inside the gutters, cable
laid across the dirt. DS mounts that arent plumb, its irritating. And there is
silicone on my F&@&ing network again, I banned that stuff years ago

Don't you just love it when people do three times as much work to

to just do it right?

the Ds with the self tappers in it amazes, me, they actually took
the mount out of plumb and fastened it crooked
