REQUEST for PROPOSALS
Women of the Sun (WOS) has received funding from the National Film and Video
Foundation for six training workshops titled Breaking the Glass Ceiling. The
content of the workshops will cover the following aspects:
· Proposal Writing and Financial Planning - Nationally and
Internationally "Ideas on Paper"
· Basic Business Management - Leadership Skills for Women
· The South African Story - A Woman's Perspective
· Understanding New Media and Multi-Media Platforms - Relevance to
Lower Budget Film Making
· How to work the Local and International Market - Selling Your
Product
· Breaking the Glass Ceiling - From Production Manager to Producer
Women of the Sun calls for proposals from consultants to carry out tasks
which include:
· Co-ordinate and manage the workshops
· Monitor and Evaluate each workshop and write an
evaluation report on the entire process of the planning and execution of the
workshops
· Design and conceptualise content and structure of the
workshops
· Suggest facilitators for the workshops
· Provide a budget for the workshops
Consultants should have the following expertise:
· Knowledge of the film and television industry
· Experience of working with women's organisations
· Excellent writing, monitoring, evaluation and
conceptualising skills
The consultant will work closely with and report to the Executive Committee
of Women of the Sun. Please send proposals including a motivating letter, CV
