Thank you for agreeing with the observation that I have made and for your suggestions below for improving diversity. On the NomCom all I am saying is that, and others have already agreed, that they are the ones who open up the process, conduct the process and then make the final selections. If you agree with the observation as above then definitely there is a role that NomCom can play - or - should play Those of us in the community where the "four fingers" are pointing also have a role to play such as in generating more suitable and more diverse candidates that NomCom can work on, I do not dispute that and I have already said that. This does not reduce how glaringly disparate the observed situation is and no one in this discussion is challenging the observation.
