Do you suppose that something like this could be used to acquire a key that could be used to access the file untill the corresponding close call? I'm thinking about something that could be used to implement writebehind behavior safely(the cachemanager could continue to flush out changes to the server even after the users tokens expire.)?RX connections do not have to expire when the token expires. At the present time, the cache manager destroys all existing RX connections when the tokens expire. The cache managers could be smarter and permit existing RX connections to remain for use with files that have existing dirty buffers and prevent further writing to the files when no token is present.-Matt Andrews
The something that would be obtained from the file server would have to be a token of some form. I don't see how we could use a new token type with rxkad that would provide any real benefits to us in the short term.
