I think we're in danger of conflating two separate issues here, and in
doing so, perhaps giving ourselves more work than we need to.
1/ It seems like we're moving towards agreeing that we need to revise
RAXFS_FetchStatus, due to the fact that there are multiple, deployed,
users of the SyncCounter field. It would be interesting to hear more
from those who believe that this isn't the case...
2/ It's not clear to me that the same applies to the volintInfo
structure. These items are clearly marked as spare, and nobody has
advanced any claims of existing users.
It would be good if we could keep these two cases separate and if, in
responding, people could make clear which issue they're talking to.
