I did something like this in an old Version 7 set of scripts. I used it to communicate between different windows that each addressed a different monitor in a 3 screen system. The initial "master" program established buffers for communications and passed the address of the buffer to the slave program via a command line argument at startup time. One of the bits of "communications" between the programs was the need to send a screen buffer content of one program to another for redisplay at a lower resolution for preview purposes. I accomplished this by capturing the screen buffer to the clipboard, then passing a flag to the slave program that there was a fresh image to display. The master program was responsible for communicating via RS232 with an external control system which collected voting results in a council chambers. I have my doubts that this method would work with version 8 or AG but John might be able to elaborate. -- Dick [EMAIL PROTECTED] --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "aftergrasp" group.
